It’s hard to go from one glass of water a day to eight, so here are some ideas to gradually increase it and develop a taste for it.

1. Instead of having a regular tea or coffee break, replace it with a water break. It may be hard at first, especially if you’re a caffeine junkie, but many people soon find that their cravings for dark, sugary, caffeinated drinks are replaced by cravings for more water. I get a good burst of energy from the water itself.

2. Have a glass or bottle of water in your sights at all times.

3. Keep your water cold at all times. I despise drinking warm water. I find it much easier to down a glass of ice cold water than a lukewarm one.

4. Add some flavour to your water by squeezing some lime or lemon into it. You can also add some flavour crystals, but keep in mind that if they don’t contain sugar, they probably do contain aspartame, which isn’t exactly healthy for you.

5. Realize that you consume water with a lot of the foods you eat. While you can’t replace a glass of water with a steak, you can count water from fruit and beverages such as naturally decaffeinated green tea. I don’t normally like to drink a freezing glass of water in the morning, but a nice hot cup of decaf green tea works perfectly and counts toward my daily water intake.

By incorporating little tips like these into your day, you can increase your daily water consumption and decrease the amount of calories you eat. Add that to some physical activity, and you’re on your way to a healthier, slimmer you!

Diet Plans Are Meals, Snacks, and Water

Men diet also, but not as many men diet as women. It is hard to decide which diet plan to suffer through.

Sticking to a diet is hard to do. On most ‘normal’ diets you won’t get hungry. There are many diet plans. There are the 300 pages or more diet books and there are the diet groups that meet at least once a week. The basic plan in these diets is each day eat 3 healthy meals, have a couple of snacks, and drink lots of water. Next you have the diet pills that come with a diet plan, 3 meals, a couple of snacks, and lots of water, plus a pill or 2 each day.

Let us not forget the fad diets, the cabbage soup diet, the boiled egg diet, the grapefruit diet, just to name a few. Oh yeah, you do lose weight with these diets, but you also gain it back in a hurry, plus some.

So if you are thinking about starting a diet plan, choose carefully.
